    Square bird guards are used to fit on to a chimney pot usually when the flexible flue has been fitted with a top plate and clamp. The terracotta guard keeps out the rain and the birds and provides a full cowling for any flue.

    Hi Ann,

    The square bird guard is designed for use with solid fuel appliances. This will normally be attached to a flexible chimney liner but can be used with an open fire and chimney.

    As per the main image, the cowl includes four pre-attached clips to fix this in place atop the chimney.
